Folios 76-78. Everard Fawkener to Duke of Newcastle. Enclosing a dispatch [not enclosed] from Duke [of Cumberland], who came further last night from Macclesfield [Cheshire]. The rebels [Jacobites] have left Preston [Lancashire]. Cumberland's light horse passed through Preston yesterday. General Oglethorpe arrived in Preston yesterday but has now departed. Cumberland will march for Preston today. With a note observing the absence of the dispatch. Dated at Wigan [Lancashire].
