Folio 54. Richard Hoare, Lord Mayor of London to [Duke of Newcastle]. He is pleased the King is satisfied with the order to preserve the peace of London. This was given at a court of lieutenancy, and stipulates that officers and soldiers should go to their posts upon hearing the warning signal. The locations of these alarm posts, and the regiments of the city militia allocated to each, are detailed. Dated at Goldsmiths' Hall [London].
