Folios 36-37. Francis Lee to [Duke of Newcastle]. He has had many opportunities to gain information about the courts of Rome and France. Lee offers to expose to public view the origins and designs of the present [Jacobite] rebellion. He also offers to expose details of the 'Popish Emissaries' currently in Great Britain and Ireland and to indicate methods of frustrating their aims. The public part of this plan would be executed under the title 'Britanics, or Orations...' Refers to 'a Scare-Crow Pretender'. Dated at London.
