Description

Postmaster-General [Thomas Frankland] to Bromley, writing from the General Post Office, London. Transmitting letters from the postmaster at Ludlow [Shropshire].

Enclosures:

Letter from [Humfrey] Morley to Postmaster-General, written at Ludlow. Forwarding 'a letter of dangerous consequence'. Dated 4 August 1714;

Anonymous seditious paper with biblical text questioning the legitimacy of deposing the Pretender;

[Humfrey] Morley's affidavit stating that his informant does not know the author of the letter, dated 2 August 1714.
