Petition of William Farrer, Master of St Katherine's Hospital, to the king. Requesting permission to erect new buildings on land previously damaged by a fire which had endangered the powder magazines and the storehouses in the Tower of London. Enclosure:
Copy of an Order in Council concerning the abovementioned fire and concluding that no houses or other buildings should be erected on any part of the burnt ground. Dated 30 October 1672.
