Folios 94 and 96. Bishop of Durham to [Newcastle]. Deputy lieutenants of County Durham agreed to drop their association, apart from Mr Bowes. Requests order to raise militia instead. Enclosure:
1. Folio 95. Deputy lieutenants of County Durham to Bishop of Durham. Application to King for an order to raise militia. Contributions to existing association expire on Wednesday [4 December 1745]. Signed by:?H Williamson; Henry Thomas Carr; Ralph Carr; John Hedworth;?J Davison; Anthony Wilkinson. Dated at Durham [County Durham], 29 November 1745.
