Folio 22. Information of William Glover, Quaker from Wray in Lancashire. Dr Burton came to house of Leonard Johnson, innkeeper in Hornby [Lancashire], on 24 November. Asked Glover to deliver letter to Duke of Perth at Hornby Castle; Perth was not there, but Lord Elcho read letter. Later, saw Burton march with rebels [Jacobites] to Lancaster [Lancashire]. Taken before Nicholas Fenwick. Filed with:
1. Folio 23. Information of Dorothy Johnson, wife of Leonard Johnson. Dr Burton came to her husband's 'Drinking house' in Hornby on 24 November, seeking to contact rebels at the castle. Taken before Nicholas Fenwick.
