- These records were part of a larger collection retrieved by the PRO from the Millbank offices of the Crown Agents when the office was relocating to Sutton in 1985-1986. The Crown Agents gave PRO authority to make a selection, and to release selected files to the public. From 1986 to 1996 the records were held at the PRO's Hayes repository, at which time a selection review was carried out.
