Description

This series contains files produced by the Security of Allied Cyphers Section, dealing with various aspects of work to prevent and counter enemy penetration of allied cyphers during the Second World War. A number of the files, though opened during the war, include later material.

The series includes records of GC&CS's correspondence with the Oxford University Press about wartime production of printed forms and other material required by the School, and with Mansfield College, Oxford about the wartime occupation of the college for cypher work.
