Folios 80-81. Alex Robertson to Andrew Stone concerning families in Angus [Forfarshire] and certain events which happened during the [Jacobite] rebellion. Robertson explains that his family has always shown loyalty to the king and the protestant cause. The duke [of Cumberland] has praised him for the information given with regard to the [Jacobite] rebellion. He proceeds to implicate McDonald of Glengarry as the only highlander who was involved in the rebellion. He says that McDonald openly encourages members of his clan to carry weapons and to rob and steal and that it is well-known that he sent his clan 'who are all papists' to fight in the rebellion. Dated at London.
