Folios 76-78. Attorney General and Solicitor General to [Newcastle], with draft of a warrant for pardoning Lord McLeod. Enclosure:
Draft of a pardon for John Lord McLeod (commonly called McKenzie Esquire) (folios 77-78). The pardon states that McLeod is to receive a pardon for the high treason for which he has been convicted and all other treasons and felonies which took place in the 'late [Jacobite] rebellion'. However, this is on the condition that within six months of his 21st birthday, he surrenders all his rights to the earldom.
