Folios 34-35. Memorial of Captain Jean O'Donohou of regiment Royal Ecossais, prisoner in Penrith [Cumberland], to Mr [Andrew] Stone. O'Donohou repeats the plea first made by ambassador Van Hoey for a passport delivered by the Duke of Newcastle and enabling him to go to France to deal with pressing private matters. Dated at Penrith 8 May 1747 [NS 19 May 1747].
