Description

Folio 9. Bryan Pybus to Thos [Thomas] Ramsden, concerning passengers on Jenny and James sloops. Mrs Denoyer and daughter, Anthony Morin, Charles Morin, and Mary Clancie have permission from Newcastle to travel to England [See SP 36/97/1/19]. Dated at Dover [Kent]. Enclosure:

1. Folio 10. List of passengers travelling to and from Calais [France] on board the James sloop, captained by William Boykett. Travelling to Calais on 1 April with Newcastle's permission: Count Mirrabel, and two servants; Charles Alexr [Alexander] Salbart; Jean Guibon Montnaitin. Arriving from Calais on 2 May: Earl of Morton; Countess of Morton; Lady Mary Douglas; Miss Hallyburton; Mrs Forester; Miss Forester; Mrs Forster, attendant; Mrs McFarlane, attendant; Hugh Hodleson, attendant; Miss Turnar; two released British prisoners of war. Dated at Dover.
