Folio 77. Copy of report from the Attorney General [Sir Dudley] Ryder, advising against proceeding upon a complaint made by Boucheret against Timothy Grey. Filed with:
Folio 78-79. Boucheret, Justice of the Peace for Lindsay in Linconshire, to Duke of Newcastle, enclosing documents for the consideration of the Attorney General and Lord Chief Justice of the King's Bench relating to an alleged breach of quarantine restrictions placed on the movement of horned cattle. Dated 16 September 1747.
Folio 80-81. Boucheret's report concerning the case against Timothy Grey of Beesby cum Hawerby [Lincolnshire] for permitting the movement of cattle during a time of distemper and a further complaint against Mr Fitz White, attorney at law, acting on behalf of Grey.
Witnesses for defence declaring the certificate allowing movement to be valid: Christopher Parker; Thomas Cheesman, the curate of Hawerby cum Beesby [Lincolnshire].
Boucheret declares the certificate to be void, orders the prosecution of Grey, distrainment of the cattle, which are to be sold at market, and a penalty of £10 apiece for every beast: The levy's to be carried out by the constables of Ludford and Hawerby cum Beesby, assisted by George Hays [or Hayes] of Rasin. Witness for prosecution: William Graves Neatherd of Ludford.
Copy: Fitz White to Boucheret in defence of Grey's actions after consultation with General Guys and Atkinson and acting upon information received from George Hays.

Copy of letter from Samuel?Townsaw, Deputy Sheriff on behalf of Gilbert Caldecot Sheriff of Lincoln to: Bailiffs of the Wapentakes [hundreds] of Louth, Esk, Ludborough and Aslaco; Joshua Western; Constables of Beesby with Hawerby. Orders the return of cattle, sheep, pigs and horses to Timothy Grey, and for Matthew Boucheret, George Hays and John Walkerley to appear before him [Gilbert Caldecot] at the next county court to answer for the unjust detention of the said livestock.
