Folio 52-55. Copy of instructions signed by[King George II for General Humphry Bland ordering him to take command of the army in North Britain [Scotland]. Instruction notes that several 'principal persons' linked to the [Jacobite] Rebellion are still active, especially in Lochaber [Lochabar] and Badenoch, and orders Bland to attempt capture of MacPherson of Cluny, with Cameron of Lochiel's name deleted. Ordered to enforce law concerning nonjuring meeting houses. Dated Kensington [Palace] [Middlesex, London].
