Copy of letter from [secretary of state, José Gutiérrez de Solórzano] Marquise de Grimaldo to [British ambassador] Colonel [William] Stanhope, in reply [see SP 35/71/85], advising that the King of Spain [Philip V] had taken steps to ensure the Duke of Ormonde and Irish officers would be prevented from embarking from Spanish ports [to lead a Jacobite uprising in Great Britain], mentioning Claudio de la Roche, [the Duke of Medinaceli's house at] Ventosilla, and Lord Whitworth's journey to Cambrai [France] via London.
