Extract of a letter from Sir Luke Schaub to Lord Carteret, relating that 'the Jacobites are still in motion', referring to their hopes of assistance from the Tsar [of Russia, Peter the Great], a possible rendezvous in Great Britain of Irish Jacobites from Spain and Italy, conferences at O'Bryan's involving Lord Lansdown and Dillon, and plans of the Duke of Ormonde and family to come to France being hindred. References to 'the Cardinal' being the source of intelligence have been crossed out, as also a reference to Prince Dolhoroucki [?Vasiliy Lukich Dolgorukov, Russian ministers in Versailles].
