Former Reference J9. Walter Grahame to Mr Collins, care of Mr Watters [Waters], banker, Paris [France], acquainting him that he has secured advantage for his trading company, and tells him that he 'now expects from my friendship that by means of Mr Baxter you endeavour to procure in my favours from Mr Malcome a patent of Knight Baronet'. Also mentions 'raising one or two battalions', Mr Wallace, Mr Bruce, Mr Falconer, Mr Ferguston, Mr Wilson, Mr Fisher, letters to Mr Clarke, and 'M W C [who] showed me the other day the state of your late scrape with Mr M__y'[?Jacobite, James Murray]. Gives return address as care of Harry Blair, writer, Allens Close, opposite the Cross, Edinburgh. Two copies.
