Description

Affidavit of Wm [William] Budd, a dragoon of Captain Wm Leman's troop in Brigadier Honywood's regiment, concerning a toast raised to 'King James' at a [Jacobite] gathering in the house of David Joell known as 'the sign of the maremaid [mermaid]', mentioning Wm Hall, Henry Green of Joyken, Coventry [Warwickshire], Robert Craven the brother of Lord Craven, and Richard Hayward. Dated at Coventry.
