Affidavit of Andrew Scott, mariner, of Tower Hill, [London], contradicting the evidence of John Welbee [Welbe] master of the Isabella, whose profligate spending, he recalled advising him, risked the friendship of [Captain Nicholas] Mandell and [William] Adye. Scott also recalled Welbe's 'malicious' threats, if they challenged him, to accuse them of soliciting his support to scuttle his ship for bottome [bottomry] insurance fraud, and his plans to living in Holland [Netherlands]. Dated at Serjeant's Inn, Fleet Street, London.
