Printed [?Jacobite] pamphlet entitled A letter from a Whigg at Rome, March 11th, 1718/19 N S, to a lord of the same party in London' arguing that the safety of the King depended more on good governance and the preservation of liberties than the destruction of the Pretender [James Frances Edward Stuart], urging tolerance for his marriage to Princess [Maria Clementina] Sobiesky [of Poland], and highlighting the need to avoid war with Spain.
