Description

Commissioners of Accounts, Robert Bristow, John Plumtre and Will [William] Yonge, to Earl Stanhope [Secretary of State, Northern Department], reporting on the petition of Sir John Lambert and others for relief with regard to the seizure of their provisions and stores at Alicant [Alicante, Spain] in 1708 for use in the garrison, acknowledging the justice of the claim, but noting their inability to provide relief 'without further powers'. Dated at Dorset Court, Westminster [London, Middlesex].
