Description

Copy of a letter from Wm [William] King to Rev Father Greme [Grimes, at The Capuchin] at Calais [France] desiring his favour and the payment of arrears, giving return address as 'For Richd [Richard] Grimshaw at Mr Halstead's over against the Fountain Tavern, Red Lyon Street, Holborn [London, Middlesex]. Enclosure:

1. Letter addressed to 'A Moncie, Monsieur Dickinson, au St Germain a Froch au Paris' [France], signed R Shuttleworth, containing a few random, distantly-spaced words [perhaps to be read in combination with, or by superimposing it on other such letters].
