Description

Christopher Taaff [Taaffe] to [Joseph] Addison. Memorial concerning the enclosed petition. Enclosures:

Petition of Christopher Taaff. He was in King James's army but changed to be at the service of England at King William's request. Asks for the emperor to grant him his letter of recommendation to the prince Eugene of Savoy. Asks for the possessions mentioned in the said letter or at least for a pension of half pay. French.

Certificate of George Clarke, dated 28 September, 1693.

Translation of a letter from his Catholic Majesty to Prince Eugene of Savoy, written at Barcelona 1710 April 28. Commending Christopher Taaff.
