Court and date of trial: Essex Summer Assizes, July 1834.
Crime: Larceny. Stealing a candlestick, a box iron and heater from Henry Jarvis, and 12 mackerel from William Shearman, at [Dedham], Essex.
Initial sentence: Seven years transportation.
Gaoler's report: 'Character Very bad. Twice before convicted and once acquitted'.
Annotated (Outcome): 'Unfit for transportation'. 'Free Pardon 15 Dec 1838'.
