Description

Prisoner name: James Henrutta.

Prisoner age: 24 years.

Court and date of trial: Central Criminal Court, December 1838.

Crime: Stealing in a dwelling house. 'Above £5'.

Initial sentence: 'Insane'.

Gaoler's report: Orderly.

Annotated (Outcome): Warrant of discharge 16 January 1841.

Petitioner(s): William Evans, late Sheriff of London, forwarding a surgeon's certificate from Gilbert Mackmurdo.

Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): The prisoner is of sound mind; the prisoner has endured sufficient punishment to date.
