Prisoner age: 23 years.
Court and date of trial: Old Bailey, November Sessions 1836.
Crime: Horse Stealing. Victim J Thompson Webb (or J Thomson Webb) of Tottenham Court Road, cheesemonger.
Initial sentence: Transportation for life.
Gaoler's report: 'Character Not Known'.
Annotated (Outcome): Ordered to Penitentiary for two years 9 March 1837. For Mr Justice Vaughan's Report on this case see papers of James Stebbings [HO 17/52/52].
Petitioner(s): The prisoner undersigned by 22 supporters including the prosecutor.
Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): The prisoner is of weak mind and was acting under the direction of his employer.
