Description

This series contain operational orders issued by the Secretaries' Office to Customs and Excise staff, mainly about changes in liability of articles to purchase tax, and are bound in red or black volumes.

The Purchase Tax Orders (PTOs) were mostly for departmental use only, and were not intended for publication (although there are several published statutory instruments included within the volumes).
