Description

Envelope, unmarked, containing five photographs, one envelope and one cutting:

photographs, monochrome, 9cm x 14cm:

1) side view, 0-4-0 Saddle Tank locomotive, partially obscured, manuscript note on reverse 'Falcon 2236/1888, Stone Court Ballast', stamped '[photograph] G Alliez', 2838 [in manuscript], [image c 1950].

2) line drawing elevation, 0-4-0 Saddle Tank locomotive No 3, typed note on reverse, 'Tottenham Gas [Company Limited], Falcon Engine [Company] 207 of 1892, Christmas 1959', signed G Alliez.

3) side three-quarter view, 0-4-0 Saddle Tank locomotive, manuscript note on reverse 'Atlas Stone [Company]', stamped '[photograph] G Alliez', 2948 [in manuscript], [image c 1950].

4) front three-quarter view, 0-4-0 Pannier Tank locomotive 'Dorothy', typed note on reverse 'Steel Company of Wales, Richard Thomas [and] Baldwin, Pontardawe, Brush Electrical 301 of 1903, ex GWR [Great Western Railway] No 795, ex Powesland and Mason, Swansea Docks No 5', stamped '[photograph] G Alliez', 3091 [in manuscript], [image c 1950].

5) side three-quarter view, 0-4-0 Saddle Tank locomotive No 3, manuscript note on reverse 'Slough Gas', stamped '[photograph] G Alliez', 2020 [in manuscript], [image c 1950].

6) Cutting, unidentified, undated publication [possibly 'Model Engineer' c 1950], monochrome photographic illustration, side rear three-quarter view, 0-4-0 Saddle Tank locomotive, typed heading 'Falcon, No 81, 1885'.

7) Envelope, typed 'Corris No 3 Falcon', containing two photographs, 6cm x 8cm, mounted works plate and reverse [smaller versions of items at ZSPC11/454/52, sub-items 3 and 5].
