Coal Authority
The Environment Group (to which the Environment Committee belongs) of the Coal Authority was established in 1994. Its role is to provide environmental policy and practice advice to the Chief executive and his management team. It identifies and examines environmental issues of relevance to the Coal Authority and considers their impact on the authority's policies and procedures. It also ensures that the authority complies with existing or proposed legislation.
