Court and date of trial: Worcestershire Lent Assizes, Worcester, March 1833.
Crime: Horse stealing, namely one mare, value £15, from Elizabeth Winwood at Hartlebury (Worcestershire) on 27 September 1832.
Initial sentence: Transportation for life.
Gaoler's report: 'Character etc not known'.
Annotated (Outcome): 'Nil'.
Petitioner(s): Robert Sant (the convict) undersigned by [Mr] Hallam (former employer) with a character appended by Elizabeth Winwood (prosecutrix) and 11 inhabitants of [Hartlebury].
Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Previous good character; first offence; his contrition; his youth and inexperience; his former employer offers to take him on again.
