These letters to the Admiralty are from the Marshal, Judge and officers of the High Court of Admiralty in London, and in a few cases of colonial Vice-Admiralty courts, concerning the business of the courts and the apprehension of offenders against navalor maritime law. Similar letters from the Irish High Court of Admiralty, 1691-1806, are in ADM 1/3988-3991.
