These letters to the Secretary of the Admiralty are from Dalrymple and Hind, the first two Hydrographers of the Navy, and concern the business of their office, and the proceedings of the 1807 Chart Committee. A partial calendar of these papers by Lt.Cdr. A.C.F. David is appended at the end of Part I of the paper catalogue for ADM 1 at the National Archives in Kew. Some similar correspondence 1809-1839, is in ADM 1/3458-3500. ADM 1/3524 consists only of covering letters from Storekeepers of dockyards rendering periodic returns of charts in stock.
