Description

ADM 1/3242-3243 contains reports to the Admiralty or to British admirals from the flag officers commanding the Dutch squadron, and from some of its captains, 1744-45 and 1748. The letters are mostly in Dutch with English translations, but a few are written in French or English. ADM 1/3244 consists of correspondence from De Winter, commanding the Dutch squadron 1795-1796, and a collection of ship's papers of the Dutch man-of-war Jason. In ADM 1/3245 are letters from the flag officers and captains of the Russian squadron, 1795-1800. The letters are in English or French.
