Letter from William Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, enclosing particulars of 28 able bodied men to whom the guardians of the Mansfield Union have granted outdoor relief under the Labour Test Order. Goodacre asks the Board to sanction the relief.
Annotated: 'Is there any [correspondence] with the [guardians] of this Union on the desirability of work being found for the able bodied applicants, If there is I should like to see it'. 14 October 1863. J M [John Manwaring, Poor Law Inspector].
