Folio 684. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Mr William Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 3 October 1863, and to request that the particulars of Mr John Senior Turner to the office of medical officer to the fifth district of the Mansfield Union be sent on the enclosed form. They enclose for the information of the guardians copies of letters which they have received from Mr Edward Charles Willis, in reference to his application to be appointed to the office in question together with a letter from Mr J Salmond which has been addressed to the Board on the subject. The Board request any observations that the guardians may have on the statements in the letters [letters not included].
