Folios 209-211. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to William E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of a letter, dated 2 September 1867. The Board state that they assent to the proposal of the Mansfield guardians to increase the salary of Joseph Kirk, Collector of South Normanton, from £15 to £18 per annum, and the Board will issue an order fixing the salary at the amount proposed. They advise that the salary will only be payable from the date of the order which the Board propose to issue.
Enclosed are two copies of the printed order issued by the Poor Law Board, authorising the increase in salary from £15 to £18 per annum for the collector of poor rates for the parish of South Normanton.
