Folios 207-208. Letter from William E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union to the Poor Law Board. Goodacre states that the guardians are looking at the increased and increasing number of houses and ratepayers in the parish, and in compliance with a request from a meeting of the ratepayers of South Normanton, the guardians have increased the salary of Joseph Hayes Kirk, Collector of poor rates for that parish, from £15 to £18 per annum. He requests the Board's consideration of such increase.
Annotated: an order, dated 6 July 1848, fixes the salary at £12 per annum, and an order, dated 10 June 1857, increases it to £15.
