Folio 201. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to William Birkett, Collector of Scarcliffe of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging a letter, dated 27 August 1867, relating to the accounts of the parish of Scarcliffe. The Board remind Birkett that he has not replied to the question put to him by the Board, in their letter of 22 August 1867, as to whether the entry of the extra sum charged for stamps, was made by himself. They request him to inform the Board whether the entry, was in fact, made by him and if so whether it was since he was appointed collector.
