Folio 599. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to [T M Spencer] Relieving Officer of the First District, Mansfield Poor Law Union, relating to a communication from the Mr Manwaring [John Manwaring, Poor Law Inspector] dated 25 February 1853.
The Board ask for an immediate explanation as to why Spencer's Receipt and Expenditure Book is not up to date and has not been balanced since the current quarter commenced. The book shows that Spencer has £44 9s 11¾d in hand.
