Folio 586. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to John Eyre, Collector, South Normanton, Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging letter dated 31 January 1853 respecting irregularities in his performance of his duties.
The Board find Eyre's explanation unsatisfactory as he was bound to make himself acquainted with the prescribed duties of his office. The Board trust no further irregularities will occur and enclose a copy of the order and point out the necessity of his acting in strict conformity with the regulations relating to his office. The Board state they will take serious notice of any future non observance of the regulations.
