Folio 214. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to William Charlton and William Frith, Overseers, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield Poor Law Union. Referring to a communication dated 17 April from Henry Place, Collector, the Board forward a copy of the petition [not included] which has been addressed to the Board by people as overseers of the poor and overseers of the highways on the subject of the Small Tenements Rating Act (13& 14 Vict c99). They request any observations they can give on the subject.
