Folio 205. Letter from the overseers, Sutton in Ashfield [Mansfield Poor Law Union], to the Poor Law Board. On behalf of the overseers of the highways, they acknowledge receipt of the Board's letter of 9 April and state they do not know where the petition came from as they know nothing of it. They ask for the Board to send them the petition so they can find out.
Annotated: send copy of the answer to the people whose names are affixed.
