Folios 198-200. Letter from W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, forwarding a copy of a nomination paper for the parish of Hucknall under Hathwaite and one for Skegby. He asks the Board for their opinion as to the validity of these. There are more guardians nominated for the parish of Hucknall under Hathwaite then are required so he asks for a quick reply so he can get the voting papers prepared.
The enclosed voting paper for Skegby is for George Calladine, Farmer, nominated as guardian. Signed by Samuel Chambers, nominator.
The voting paper for Hucknall Hathwaite is for Mathew Mycroft, Farmer. Signed by Joseph Burrows, Hosier and nominator.
Annotated: the nomination for Hucknall is invalid as there is no address of the nominator. The nomination for Skegby is the same and also the name of the union is omitted, also the nominator does not show that he is qualified to nominate.
