Folio 157. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 10 December with a resolution of the guardians on the subject of their enquiring whether the Board would allow Mr Allsop, Relieving Officer, to also hold the position of collector for Sutton in Ashfield. The Board state that in the event of either office becoming vacant and if the guardians should still be keen for the two offices to be held by the same person then the Board will take the matter into their consideration.
