Extract from 'The Railway Magazine' March 1955, pages 161-168. 'Goods and Tank locomotives of the London, Chatham and Dover Railway', by A J F Wrottesley. Survey of all types from the first East Kent Railway locomotives of 1858 up to 1955, including those hired from the Great Northern Railway in 1858, as the newly ordered 4-4-0T locomotives were not ready at the time of opening the line. There are six monochrome photographic illustrations.
