Folio 100. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, stating that the assessment committee cannot pay the overseers except when the services are carried out as detailed in 25& 26 Vict c 103 s 37. The committee must render their accounts to the guardians, who will charge the Common Fund. The Board can give no opinion on suitable amounts of allowances.
