Folio 98. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, replying to his letter of 6 may 1864. Forms are enclosed [not included] for the appointment of a Collector of Poor Rates for Pinxton, at a salary of £15 per year, in accordance with 7& 8 Vict c 101 s 62. The Board asks if parochial representations were made to the guardians. The Board also wishes to see a statement of the Poor Rates in Pinxton for the years ending Lady Day 1862, 1863 and 1864, including the total amount collected, and the number of ratepayers in the parish.
