Folio 675. Letter from W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, informing them that the guardians propose raising the salary of John Haslam, Collector, Sutton in Ashfield, from £52 to £60 per annum, because of his duties.
Annotated: by the order of 8 January 1845, the annual salary for this post was fixed at £60, was reduced to £45 on 20 October 1853, and increased to £52 on 13 February 1857. No objection to increase. R W [Robert Weale, Poor Law Inspector]. Issue order fixing salary of £60. W G L [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Board].
