Folio 671. Letter from W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, concerning letter 18703/1861. John Bennett of Sutton in Ashfield lost his employment and entered the workhouse again, but as he now has another offer of work, the guardians have granted him relief of 8s for one week in the hope that this employment will be longer lasting.
